OTD February 10th - Black History Month

#OTD in 1927, a star was born. Happy birthday to opera star Mary Violet Leontyne Price.

Ms. Price, encouraged by her teachers to pursue voice, broke through race barriers in the opera world and went on to receive the Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Kennedy Center Honors Lifetime Achievement award.

It's a great day to introduce your students to opera! Check out the resources for interviews and performances with Ms. Price and other renowned Black opera singers.
