"Slavery didn't end; it merely evolved." -Bryan Stevenson This is evident even in states' refusal to ratify the 13th ammendment. Delaware was one of the last to do so #OnThisDay in 1901. Kentucky finally did so in 1976, and Mississippi didn't ratify the ammendment until 2013!
