OTD February 14th - Black History Month
What better way to start #LoveTeachingWeek than to honor the legacy of a man and a University that see the value of strong and truthful education.
We celebrate Reverend William Jefferson White, who founded the Augusta Institute, known today as Morehouse College, #OTD in 1867. It opened to train formerly enslaved men to be Protestant ministers and educators.
Today's resources include info about the legacy and continuing contributions of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) as well as an incredible PBS documentary called Tell Them We are Rising.
