OTD February 17th - Black History Month

#OnThisDay in 1942, Huey Newton was born. Huey Percy Newton was a Black revolutionary who, along with fellow Merritt College student Bobby Seale, co-founded the Black Panther Party. The Black Panthers were initially formed to protect local communities from police brutality and racism, but provided meals, medical services and schooling to the communities they worked in.
