OTD February 23rd - Black History Month
#OnThisDay we mourn the anniversary of the death of Ahmaud Arbery, 25 year old man, son, athlete, and aspiring electricion. Though this tragedy didn't gain national attention until many months later, Ahmaud Arbery was killed while jogging on this day last year.
Today's resources, for students of all ages, share 3 critical things: -the tragic reality of racial violence -the incredible resistance and organization of protests movements that respond to this violence - illumination of the dignity and humanity of Black life that must be recognized.
