OTD February 28th - Black History Month

Our final post for Black History Month. We hope you have learned a lot and were able to reflect on the things you've learned over the course of the month.

#OnThisDay in Alabama in 2013, arguments begin regarding the necessity of the 1965 Voting Rights Act. In June, the Supreme Court slashes the Voting Rights Act in a move that renders "ineffective the requirement that certain jurisdictions with a history of voting discrimination get preapproval for voting changes."

On this last day of Black History Month, call your state senators and congressmen because, after a record voter turnout in 2020, voting rights are on the chopping block again. See what is happening in your state and make this moment #MoreThanAMonth
